Social Care Consultancy is an organisation dedicated to providing good quality evidence based support to a variety of individuals and agencies in New Zealand.
We provide a variety of therapeutic and practical types of support to a range of young people, adults and organisations in need of support and training in the community.
We aim to achieve success and good reputation by providing excellent bespoke services to clients and providers. These to include:
- Value to providers in terms of packages of care
- Specific packages to a variety of providers
- Being recognised as experts in our field
- Packages of care that are out of the realms and skill limits of other providers
- Evidence based practice
- Meeting currently unmet need
Social Care Consultancy believes that honesty, transparency and integrity are the key values to successful social care interaction and training. We are of the opinion that high quality services come from well trained emotionally competent staff who make every attempt to work with any individual or organisation and will be honest about personal, professional and organisational limitations.
It is essential that the organisation operates from an solid evidence base.
Social Care Consultancy operates from a stance of quality and equality. We would consider requests for support and training from most care agencies. We endeavour to develop packages of care to meet the needs of agencies and will operate from a stance of anti- discriminatory and anti-racist practice.
Social Care Consultancy aims to be culturally sensitive in it's approach to individuals, groups and organisations. We will not compromise on standards nor rely on the altruistic nature intrinsic in many care staff. Quality services will be our hallmark.
Based in Tauranga most of our work is centred around the Bay of Plenty region. We have been known to venture further a field for specific contracts, particularly staff training.
Social Care Consultancy has access to a wide range of professions including Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing (specifically mental health) and Counselling. We can offer input from staff with a range of experience and knowledge, with a variety of cultural backgrounds. We consider ourselves to be culturally sensitive
With this multi-disciplinary approach, we have a a good skills base and consequently are able to offer a range of quality services. These include 1:1 therapeutic support, groupwork, clinical supervision, assertive outreach, specialist assessments (including alcohol and other drug), bespoke packages of care and staff training.
Our target client groups include youth and adults who would be described as having a mild to moderate range of need and staff teams who are supporting people with a whole range of needs. We are experienced in working with people who are suffering from mental ill health and people with intellectual disabilities.
Social Care Consultancy have contracts with a range of government organisations and NGOs. We also offer individual and group work on a private basis.
